The Blount County Drug Task Force is a specialized unit consisting of five trained narcotics investigators, located in Blount County, Alabama. Their  duties are to investigate drug crimes as well as crimes directly related to drug crimes.

Each member of the Drug Task Force is a Deputy Sheriff with The Blount County Sheriff's Office who has been assigned to the Drug Task Force.

With more than seventy years of total law enforcement experience, the Blount County Drug Task Force is equipped to conduct just about any investigation.  If needed, other expertise available to the Drug Task Force includes: The Federal Bureau of Investigation, The Drug Enforcement Agency, The Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, The Alabama Bureau of Investigations and many other resources which are only a phone call away.
Although other law enforcement agencies in Blount County investigate narcotic crimes, The Blount County Drug Task Force is the only one that conducts these type investigations exclusively.  The Blount County Drug Task Force realizes that our success or failure depends on the support of other law enforcement officers,  citizens and those passing through or visiting to help us make Blount County a safer and better place to live and raise our children.

The agents of the Blount County Drug Task Force promise to use all the resources at our disposal to stop the use, sale and trafficking of  narcotics in and through Blount County.
